Three decades ago, a small-town girl from Wichita Falls, Texas, looked across the dinner table on their first date at the man she would later marry and expressed a big dream: "I want to see the world." The man sitting across from her promised right then and there to show it to her.
Thirty-two years and more than sixty countries later, that promise has transformed into a lifetime of intentional movement, cross-cultural immersion, and a deep-rooted hospitality that forms the very heartbeat of Global Nomads.

Twenty-Three Moves, One Mission
Life as a military family meant packing up a home 23 times, navigating long deployments, and raising two resilient daughters across Europe, East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. In every single assignment, the transition was anchored by a simple, repeating prayer: “God what is your greater purpose for us here?”
The answer never revealed itself in grand, sweeping gestures, but in quiet moments of serving others. Whether hosting foreign dignitaries, organizing welcome events for families far from home, or building a community from disparate strangers, hospitality became a natural way of living. Along the way, God weaved individuals into a larger, global family.
Decades on the move taught a defining truth: shared adventures forge deep, meaningful relationships.
